Our Venue
Situated in the heart of the Glen Lorne area, on Sunninghill Close, just off of Enterprise road, Padonhodzo is the ideal location for your wedding – just a stone’s throw away from the Northern suburbs of Harare, and mere 15 km away from Harare City Centre. Padonhodzo is a picturesque property surrounded by rolling green lawns, a well-manicured garden with tremendous towering trees, a seasonal natural stream, and a water feature sure to catch anyone’s eye.
Ceremony Locations
Any lawn space you can see, is really a ceremony option! Go wild with your imagination, we are here to fulfil your wedding dreams. Want to get married beside the water feature? Do it. Perhaps near the stream? Not an issue.
Terraced Lawns
Our most common ceremony area is located just in front of our magnificent water fountain, featuring a built-in paved aisle, removing any of those ill nightmares you may have had of the Bride tripping on the lawn while doing the most important walk of her life.
We have had this area specifically designed with ceremonies in mind, choosing to have our lawn terraced – to give your guests optimised views of the highly awaited ‘I Do’ moment.
Central Lawns
Our central lawns offer our couples a completely different ceremony look. This wide-open space of lawn caters to those with larger ceremony numbers, allowing for your guests to be seated comfortably.
These lawns offer various different options in terms of set up – from looking onto the natural stream, to facing the beautifully laid out garden beds, adding a natural element of colour, to give you that extra bit of ‘pop’ you may be looking for.
Water Feature
The beauty of a water feature is unquestionable. If you are looking to have muted florals, and let the beauty of the surrounding area do the talking for you at your ceremony, well then, our gorgeous water feature is the ceremony location for you. Not to mention the soothing sound of running water in the background – absolute bliss. Our water feature location is however suited to smaller more intimate numbers. Please keep this in mind when deciding on your chosen ceremony
location.
Reception Locations
Our reception venue plays a major role in the setting up of the overall mood for your wedding, so choosing your perfect venue is not one to be taken lightly. The style of your wedding isn’t an easy choice either – with so many options to choose from, from a rustic barn style set up, to an elegant ballroom vibe, to the ever-increasing popular outdoor scene, choosing the correct set up to suit your aesthetics in mind may seem a bit daunting. To top that all off, the capabilities of a space – the layout, and the time as well as the items you’ll need to really transform it, may all seem a bit much.
We at Padonhodzo have created our venue with these thoughts in mind – to help you, our couples. Yes, choosing a venue is hard. The building of a structure can limit you, and what you can do within those walls. We understand that. This is why we have created a blank canvas for you, to give you unlimited ideas to what you may do with our space. You are welcome to choose any area at our magnificent property to host your wedding reception. Should you wish to have your wedding under the trees, surrounded by delicately strung glistening fairy lights, this is not a problem. However, should you want a more stable ground, we have a 24m x 24 m solid floored area for you to make use of, catering for up to 300 guests.
This ideal location, for both outdoor weddings, and under cover marquee weddings, has panoramic views of nature’s year-round splendour. It will give your guests something to swoon over and talk about for months, as it over looks our eye-catching water feature. This area will allow you to set up any look you desire, from a more casual setting, to an elaborate state of the art set up.
